2010 is going to be a year where I really try to get things going, creatively speaking. I have started with the 365 project. A picture a day for this site keeps me thinking about what I can do. The restrictions imposed by my little camera phone keep it challenging. I am already seeing how [...]

For the first time, I spent all of my Nuit Blanche in the downtown core, meaning Zone A and Zone B. In previous years I have gravitated to Zone C, because it had the exhibitions that I wanted to see. I started my night by getting my very poorly coordinated groove on at the Toronto [...]

This week provided me with two opportunities to play curator. At Gallery 1313 I hung (or directed the hanging) of the Park It Over Your Sofa art auction preview show. With over 30 pieces, most of very large size, salon style was the best way to squeeze it all in to the gallery space. Park [...]

I recently visited Lambton Mills Cemetery on Royal York road. Having all the time in the world to do things. For years I have driven past this cemetery without going in. As a child I was fascinated by tombstones, their decorations and inscriptions. Who were the people who had died and been buried. What were their lives like?

I have been hibernating in my apartment for the past while. With all the snow that we have received combined with working from home, I haven’t been out shooting too much. These are the few little tid-bits I have shot recently. Found these hearts spray painted in the snow on Valentine’s day. The view from [...]

Outside of very amateur photography, I also knit. The summer time is when I take a hiatus from this hobby. It is usually too hot to have yarns sitting on your lap. I found over Christmas I needed something to do with my hands, so I stopped at the local Wal-Mart to purchase needles and [...]
